We're Back!

Good Morning...

Society Hill has been offline since December 2010...a lot has been going on in society since our brief hiatus but we are back and better than ever...even though we are almost 4 months into 2011, we hope that 2011 has thusfar been a prosperous and productive year for all.  Today starts a new beginning for Society Hill as we are more committed than ever to bring you  our take on some of today's top headlines and news events. Our first new blog posting in this new beginning will be about President Obama's visit to Harlem, NY later today as he stops at the Studio Museum Of Harlem and hosts a Democratic fundraiser tonight at one of Harlem's newest restaurants and attractions Red Rooster--the brainchild of celebrity chef and tv personality Marcus Samuelsson who has also served as an Obama chef. The fundraiser runs for $30,800 a plate and is sure to attract a whos who of the political elite. As in all cases when the well off and politically connected are in town, the old addage what's good for the goose is good for the gander may or may not serve well in this much hyped visit by the President of the United States. While some are glad for the exposure, more are concerned about the economic and living conditions of the Harlem community more than anything else. We'll be discussing this much anticipated visit by President Obama and what it may or may not mean not only for the Harlem community for whom the spotlight is upon but the larger community as well.

We'll also offer our take on the ongoing crisis in Libya with Libyan President Moammar Gadhafi. This message is timely given President Obama's address to Nation last night. The full text of last night's speech made by President Obama will be posted here on Society Hill. We will analyze President Obama's address to the Nation and what it means for us as citizens of this country given the fact that we still have two wars that have yet to be declared over.

We'll also provide the latest news in finance, lifestyle and entertainment. In short, WE'RE BACK and BETTER THAN EVER! Thanks for sticking with us as we were on hiatus and we hope to serve you better. You'll be glad you did...

All The Best,
The Society Hill
